A very special anniversary: Liechtenstein celebrates 100 years of the Swiss franc. This limited-edition coin series honours the long-standing monetary union using the unique smartminting® Ultra Deep Relief technique. The design of the gold coin

The obverse of this impressive gold coin features a colour depiction of the topography of the Rhine Valley, which connects Liechtenstein and Switzerland. The Rhine runs vertically through the centre of the design, flowing through the Swiss and Liechtenstein Alps. The Swiss national coat of arms and the dates “1924–2024” are engraved on the left-hand side, representing Switzerland. On the opposite side, representing Liechtenstein, multiple crowns appear on the right, while the coat of arms is positioned on the left. The inscription “100 JAHRE SCHWEIZER FRANKEN IM FÜRSTENTUM LIECHTENSTEIN” also features on this side of the coin. Along the lower edge is a cross representing the four cardinal directions.  The reverse features the coat of arms of Liechtenstein prominently in the centre. Above it is the inscription “FÜRSTENTUM LIECHTENSTEIN”, while the denomination, “ZEHN FRANKEN”, is engraved along the lower edge.
